Ph.D. Student Kristy Jost in the Lab

An article that appeared in the 16 March 2012 issue of Science uses an image created by Ph.D. student Kristy Jost (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) to illustrate its point.

The article, "Valuing Reversible Energy Storage," by Dr. John R. Miller appears in the "Perspectives" section. Miller provides a summary and opinion related to a technical article in the publication which describes the creation of thin and highly flexible electrochemical capacitors.

The illustration used depicts two figures and the possible placement of sensors and capacitors on their clothing to create "smart" garments.  The illustration comes from Jost's Ph.D. research.
