Grosvenor Professor Yury Gogotsi has been quoted in a March 15, 2012 story on the NatureNews Blog regarding a claim by researchers at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and colleagues that graphene can draw on ambient thermal energy to generate electrical current

Numerous researchers are not convinced by this claim and it has drawn much skepticism from the materials field.

Gogotsi is quoted as saying that the experiment appears to be easily replicable so other laboratories should be able to duplicate the results if they are indeed accurate.
