The fifth annual Celebrating Drexel Authors event was held April 26 to honor Drexel University faculty, staff and students who wrote or edited books and journal articles that were published in 2016. College of Engineering faculty were recognized in the following categories:
2016 Highly Cited Journal Authors:
- Peter DeCarlo, PhD, assistant professor; graduate studies adviser in the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering department for publications in geosciences
- Yury Gogotsi, PhD, Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor in the Materials Science and Engineering department for publications in materials science
2016 Highly Published Journal Authors:
- Yury Gogotsi, PhD, Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor in the Materials Science and Engineering department for publishing 54 articles
- Michel Barsoum, PhD, distinguished professor in the Materials Science and Engineering department for publishing 30 articles in 2016
