Electrical and Computer Engineering
Description
Electrical and Computer Engineers develop special suits for pilots in high-acceleration aircraft, work on image processing techniques to diagnose diseases earlier and with higher reliability, design digital controllers for Navy ships and optimize “green” power stations that supply clean energy with high efficiency. Drexel’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is one of the most dynamic and innovative communities of scholars and researchers in the nation. They are a major resource of high-quality professionals in all areas of electrical and computer engineering - from original investigators in nanotechnology, robotics, multimedia and clean energy, to analysis who use optimization techniques to study the stock markets, and telecommunication engineers who work on new wearable communication devices for first responders.
