Program Description

The online graduate program in Project Management is designed for mid-career professionals that seek to develop project management capabilities for application in a variety of fields. Students learn the business, communication, global, and leadership skills needed to manage projects, programs and portfolios in today's competitive production environments. The curriculum is aligned with the internationally recognized Project Management Institute’s A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and is designed to support the completion of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI)® Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.

The Project Management minor focuses on the management of teams of people and other resources in the planning, design, execution, and implementation of various aspects of projects in practically every industry. The minor in Project Management provides a foundation for graduate education in project management and prepares interested students with the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® or Project Management Professional (PMP)® credentials from the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. The minor consists of five required courses resulting in fifteen credits and three additional courses totaling nine credits.
