Biography

Dr. Drzymalski's research interests lie in the application of complex adaptive systems modeling to areas such as supply chains and healthcare systems. She is developing models that focus on improving supply chain resilience through the use of emergent network science techniques and understanding the effects of health determinants on population health. Dr. Drzymalski joined Drexel as a Clinical Professor & Program Director in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management in 2016. After completing an NSF IGERT Fellowship at Lehigh University, she served at Western New England University, where she left as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management Department. She previously held various quality engineering, project and program management positions in the construction industries of the greater Philadelphia and New York City area. As an active member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, she sits on the Board for the Society for Engineering and Management Systems, and is also a reviewer for journals and conferences in the areas of industrial and systems engineering and engineering management.
