Message from the Interim Dean

Welcome to Drexel University College of Engineering.  As a research enterprise, we strive to offer students education that is interdisciplinary, hands-on and applicable to today’s world.  With our world-renowned co-op program, innovative research accomplishments and unparalleled initiatives, our college consistently ranks in the top 50 engineering colleges in the nation by U.S.News & World Report. In addition, U.S.News & World Report ranked Drexel University number two as the nation’s most innovative and up-and-coming school. The College of Engineering helps to ensure the success of Drexel by offering cutting-edge research and learning facilities, world-class faculty and a host of new initiatives.

Drexel Engineering has something for all of its constituents.  For incoming students, we offer student organizations with the opportunity to get involved in a current organization or start a new one. More programs are being offered now more than ever. We have 12 minors available as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering to better prepare our students for the problems of tomorrow. In addition, we continue to engage our alumni after graduation by offering a number of networking opportunities, as well as regular invitations to events hosted by the College of Engineering.

Drexel Engineering is centered on pervasive use of technology and experiential learning through the co-op program. Drexel’s famous co-op program affords a variety of contacts throughout Philadelphia, nationally and internationally. With one of the oldest co-op programs in the country, Drexel has had time to perfect the process. Students are well-prepared to take-on the challenges of the work place and consistently exceed employer’s expectations. Our co-op program has continued to thrive, even in difficult economic conditions.  Our students leave Drexel with up to 18-months of real world experience, and a competitive edge against other graduating college students.

Our world-renowned faculty, high-achieving students, successful alumni, and excellent staff all contribute to making Drexel Engineering a fulcrum of success and great pride. We encourage you to browse through our site. You will see that we are committed to continuing on a path of excellence for everyone associated with the Drexel Engineering.
