Athletics
As a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), Drexel University sponsors 16 Division I varsity athletic programs.
The CAA continually produces some of the top student-athletes in the nation in both the classroom and the athletic arena, and Drexel is one of only a few universities in the country that enjoys true parity between men's and women's athletics. U.S.News & World Report named Drexel as the nation's top Division I institution in athletic gender equity since 2002.
Drexel also sponsors a variety of intramural and club sports activities that are open to all students. The University is a proud member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association, with more than 30 percent of undergraduates participating in intramural sports.
The Daskalakis Athletic Center (DAC) houses the University's athletic facilities, including basketball, squash, badminton, and volleyball courts; weight rooms; a swimming and diving facility; dance studios; and the Independence Blue Cross Wellness Center. Drexel also offers a beach volleyball court, a multipurpose turf field, and over 15 acres of athletic fields.
