Still-Deciding Students®
Still-Deciding Students® are welcome at Drexel and well-served by the University's strong emphasis on career preparation. To help you identify the right path early in your college experience, Drexel offers a range of opportunities as well as a foundation for pursuing the ideal career field, which might include preparing for graduate study.
"Still Deciding" can mean that you are still considering your area of study. It can also mean that you have narrowed down your interest to an area like business, engineering, or science, but you're not sure what career field to focus on.

- Engineering for Still-Deciding Students®

Students who are interested in a broad range of areas are encouraged to enroll initially as General Humanities and Social Sciences for Still-Deciding Students®.
Students who are interested in engineering, business, or science should select the matching option for Still-Deciding Students® because these students need to enroll in specific first-year classes (which still count toward the degree if the student ultimately majors in a non-technical area).
Resources for Still-Deciding Students®
The Drexel Experience – A two-term, four-credit course that introduces the student to college life. Classes are taught by Drexel faculty members in collaboration with co-op employers, providing students with a truly comprehensive orientation and an introduction to the many majors, minors, and co-op opportunities offered by the University.
Advising – A specific counselor serves Still-Deciding
Students® in the Steinbright Career Development Center, home of Drexel's
co-op program and career services. This counselor coordinates career assessment
and counseling activities to help students implement a career path plan, working
closely with both the co-op and career services coordinators and college advisors.
Drexel Co-op – Drexel University has long been known
for its co-operative education program, through which students mix periods
of full-time, career-related experience with their studies. Drexel Co-op is
not a University-wide requirement. Nevertheless, a sophomore-year co-op experience
can be of great benefit to students who have not yet declared a major. The
process of preparing a résumé, researching job options, and interviewing for
co-op positions can be a great learning experience in itself; and the full-time
work experience can help a Still-Deciding Student® to start focusing on
one field of study.
