Engineering Management integrates essential business disciplines with technology-based operations. Drexel’s MS Engineering Management is designed to provide the background necessary to advance from technical positions to those that include supervisory responsibilities in areas such as research and development, engineering, design and technical marketing.
Program of Study
- The Master’s in Engineering Management requires 51 credits of coursework: 36 in required core courses and 15 as electives.
- Students have the flexibility to customize their studies by selecting an elective sequence from a wide range of options; we accept graduate-level courses in business, engineering or other disciplines with the approval of the program director.
Certificate in Engineering Management
- Students who successfully complete the courses Engineering Management I, Communications, Economics for Engineering Management and Financial Management I earn a Certificate in Engineering Management as an optional professional credential.
Dual Degree Program
- Students may simultaneously pursue the MSEM and another technical degree by satisfying the requirements for each degree, with no more than 15 credits transferred between programs. The MSEM requires 51 credits; if the other degree requires 45 credits, then the dual degree requires 63 credits. Credit transfers are subject to approval by the respective program advisors.
