Lou Isernia, MSEM Class of 2002Louis Isernia
Director, Project Management
Integrated Project Services, Inc.

Louis Isernia earned his MS Engineering Management in 2002, and for the past decade he has reflected on his degree and the opportunities it created. “The curriculum provided me with the skills to analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions that promote success,” Mr. Isernia observes. “There’s a professional advantage that comes from [that].”

And he has clearly been able to leverage that advantage. While working on his degree, Mr. Isernia was employed by Raytheon Engineers & Constructors based in Philadelphia, PA. Since graduation, however, he found new opportunities as Engineering Project Manager at Wyeth and more recently as Director of Project Management at Integrated Project Services, Inc. In this role, Mr. Isernia manages project management professionals to ensure the quality execution of the company’s portfolio of projects.

For current and incoming students, Mr. Isernia notes that there will always be a strong demand for engineering professionals in the global economy. And the extensive, diverse curriculum of the Engineering Management Program is designed to meet that demand. Although this curriculum can be challenging, Mr. Isernia explains that “Education is number one,” and he advises students stay ahead of the coursework and take the program seriously.

Currently, Mr. Isernia resides in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where his interests include winemaking and cooking with his family.
