Professor Thomas Edwards has fifteen years experience as an adjunct professor at local universities, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Engineering Management, Financial Management, Engineering Economy, and Problems in Engineering Administration. He is the Course Developer and Subject Matter Expert for EGMT 501: Engineering Management I, and our Capstone course EGMT 537: Problems in Engineering Administration.
Professor Edwards currently serves as Technical Director of Met-Pro Corporation in Harleysville, PA, where he is responsible for product and technology development. Prior to this position, Professor Edwards was the Vice President and General Manger of the Systems Division, which designs, fabricates, and commissions capital projects for industrial customers throughout the world.
Professor Edwards’ professional experience includes project engineering, business development, chief engineer and propulsion engineering manager at Thiokol, GE and Lockheed Martin Corporations.
In September 2008, Edwards was appointed to Philadelphia's Air Pollution Control Board. He also co-authored the article "Architectural Innovation" in the Enyclopedia of Management Theory in March 2013.
In recognition of his teaching accomplishments, the National Distance Learning Association awarded Professor Edwards the “Outstanding Online Instructor of the Year” Award representing the College of Engineering in 2009.
