Jaudelice Cavalcante de Oliveira received her B.S.E.E. degree from Universidade Federal do Ceara (UFC), Ceara, Brazil, in December 1995. She received her M.S.E.E. degree from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Sao Paulo, Brazil, in February 1998, and her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2003. She joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University in 2003 where she is currently an assistant professor. Jaudelice de Oliveira is acting as ACM SIGCOMM Conference Coordinator (2007-2011).
From 1993-1995, Dr. de Oliveira worked as an intern at TELECEARA (former Telecommunications agency of the state of Ceara, Brazil). There, she developed a simulation tool to study telephone networks. From 1996-1998, she worked on a project, in collaboration with TELESP (former telecommunications agency of Sao Paulo, Brazil), where she designed new methods for link dimensioning, traffic routing, and blocking probability estimation in ATM networks.
