Dr. Aydin Tozeren, Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University and Co-Director of the Greater Philadelphia Bioinformatics Alliance, received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. Previously, he held academic and research positions at Columbia University, the National Institutes of Health and the Catholic University of America. He published in the areas of cell adhesion and signaling, molecular basis of muscle contraction, biomechanics, and the mathematical modeling of biological systems. His current research interest focuses on crosstalk between the HIV-1 virus and the host cells.
