Dr. Regli is an interdisciplinary researcher with interests in such varied fields as artificial intelligence, solid modeling and graphics, CAD/CAM, integration science, mechanical design, engineering informatics, and wireless networks. His research has been sponsored by a variety of organizations, including the U.S. Army, Defense Information Systems Agency, the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Naval Research Laboratory, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, National Institute of Justice/Department of Justice, Boeing, Lockheed Corporation, AT&T, and GE, and has supported more than 150 graduate and undergraduate students. Nine of his undergraduates have been acknowledged by the Computing Research Association for research excellence.
