Employee Tuition Remission

Tuition remission for full-time employees is considered to be a core benefit and provides tuition assistance for Drexel employees, spouses, and dependent children who study at Drexel University or the Drexel University College of Medicine. 

Full-time employees who are matriculated students attending at least part-time (6 credits a term for undergraduate, 4.5 credits for graduate programs) may be eligible for federal financial assistance including Federal Direct Loans. In order to determine eligibility, an employee must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year in which they are attending classes. The Office of Financial Aid will create a financial aid package for employees based upon their eligibility as determined by the FAFSA. Additionally, tuition remission is considered a financial resource and can impact your eligibility for need-based or tuition-only awards. If you're eligible to receive tuition remission, Human Resources will contact the Office of Financial Aid and your financial aid package may be adjusted depending upon the amount of remission you're receiving.

Please note that some programs and schools are not eligible for tuition remission, including the College of Medicine MD program, any degree or program in the College of Law, and the Executive MBA and MBA online programs.
