Quarterly Billing Is Coming in Fall 2014
As announced in President Fry's e-mail on November 19, 2013, in fall 2014, Drexel will transition from annual to quarterly billing. Under this new system, students will be billed as they attend each quarter rather than at the beginning of the academic year.
This change to quarterly billing is part of Drexel’s continuing focus on improving the student experience and is being made in response to feedback we have received from students and parents. It will not impact the total cost of your tuition, or your eligibility for financial aid. We believe it will, however, increase academic flexibility, simplify the billing process and reduce the administrative burden on you and your family.
Under this new billing system, you will pay tuition only during quarters when you attend class and not during quarters when you are on co-op. You will continue to pay general university fees for all quarters in which you are enrolled and will remain eligible to take one course per co-op quarter at no additional cost.
At the end of the fall quarter, you will be mailed an individual billing plan for academic year 2014-15 that will outline your expected costs during the transition to quarterly billing based on your current plan of study, financial aid and financing options. To ensure receipt of this important mailing, please make sure that your permanent mailing address in Drexel One is current.
The December mailing will also provide information on additional resources available to answer your questions including on-campus, online and one-on-one information sessions.
