Drexel Dornsife’s Impact on Public Health
Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health was founded on the core values of health as a human right and health equity, with a special commitment to urban health (in our home city of Philadelphia and cities across the globe).
Our school provides students with state-of–the-art public health education in theory, methods, and practical skills (including leadership, civic engagement, and science-based advocacy) while keeping pace with an evolving public health landscape.
Dornsife is a leader in public health and urban research that translates knowledge into actions that improve population health and reduce health inequities. The school excels at community-engaged public health locally and globally.

All new students are welcomed during the school's annual Pinning Ceremony during which they recite the preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Charter of the World Health Organization as a reflection of the school’s commitment to social justice and our vision of health as a human right.
