Using Informatics to Gather Health Data

Gabriela Marcu, PhD, professor in the College of Computing and Informatics and a Research Fellow with the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute will share strategies and innovative approaches for gathering data to monitor and evaluate outcomes, support grant applications, and facilitate data usage in strategic planning. The purpose of this webinar is to introduce concepts in informatics and discuss their potential for empowering the use of data. She will describe some of her recent collaborations with public health researchers, clinical practitioners, community partners, and universities. She will also provide a breadth of examples and resources to illustrate how mHealth, apps, database management, and other technologies are increasingly utilized in public health practice.
