Equality and Diversity
The Office of Equality and Diversity (OED) is committed to promoting, supporting, and providing resources to sustain a living, learning and working environment of diversity, equality, fairness, inclusion and respect.
OED facilitates workshops, programs and discussions that foster a welcoming University community. OED also oversees the University’s Equality and Non-Discrimination policy and is responsible for ensuring that the University complies with its own policies and with federal, state and local laws prohibiting discrimination and harassment based upon race; color; religion; gender; pregnancy; national origin; age; disability; sexual orientation, gender identity and expression; and veteran status. Whenever possible, OED utilizes conflict resolution processes, including conflict coaching and mediation, to address complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
