Card Access System
At check-in each resident is given an access card which is used to gain access. Residents should report lost or stolen cards to the Caneris Hall Front Desk immediately.
Trash Rooms
There are two trash rooms located on each floor right next to the laundry rooms. Please break down all boxes and stack them neatly in the trash room. Make sure all bags are secured. Do not leave trash in the hallways.
Laundry Facilities
There are two laundry rooms located on each floor. Both are equipped with 2 washers and 2 dryers that are operated by a laundry card. Each resident is responsible for purchasing their own laundry card via machines located in the main lobby. Laundry is not included in the cost of room rates.
Fire Safety
Each floor is equipped with two fire extinguishers and fire alarm pull stations. All apartments are equipped with smoke detectors and sprinklers. When a resident hears that the fire alarm has been activated they should evacuate the premises immediately. All residents should proceed down the stairs and gather across the street from the building to await further instruction.

It houses cardio machines, free weights and a variety of strength training equipment. The gym is accessible through scanning your access card to obtain entrance and exit. In addition, residents can watch TV, play pool or enjoy a cold beverage from the vending machines.
Maintenance Requests

Maintenance staff is available weekdays from 8am to 3 pm and on the weekends for emergencies. Contact the Caneris Hall front desk or your RA for maintenance emergencies when the main office is closed.
General Information
As a resident of University Crossings you will be expected to play a more hands on role in dealing with certain maintenance situations. Some basics you should have on hand are a flashlight, a plunger for unclogging the toilet or sink, draino or some other type of clog remover. It is expected that you will properly familiarize yourself with how to utilize these items. When in doubt ask for assistance. Please note that any maintenance problems where the resident is found to be at fault may result in the apartment or residents being charged for additional outside personnel, I.e. a plumber, to come to the premises.
