Move-In Day

Moving Assistance and Carts

With hundreds of students moving in each day, we strongly encourage families to bring their own moving supplies and equipment as we are unable to guarantee a cart for each student. University Housing will partner with a private vendor for the limited distribution of move-in carts, available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Driving and Parking
When you arrive, pull up to your residence hall using the map on the Driving/Traffic page. Drexel University Police Department will enforce a strict 20-minute load/unload parking zone time limit and will provide each car with a temporary parking placard. No car should be left unattended at any time.

Upon Arrival
Students should first report to the front desk of your residence hall (University Crossings residents should report to the front desk of Caneris Hall). Your residence hall room key will be issued after the completion of an Emergency Contact Card and other short paperwork.

DragonCard
Your DragonCard will be distributed at the Library Learning Terrace, located near the Race Street Residences residence hall at the corner of 33rd and Race Street. You will receive walking directions at Check-In. Bring photo identification to pick-up your DragonCard (such as a Driver's License). The DragonCard will only be issued to the individual student, not a family member, friend, or parent.

Room Condition Report
At Check-In, you will be provided with your Room Condition Report, which is a one-page report completed by residence hall staff prior to your arrival and is intended to document the condition of your room upon move-in. Should you wish to make any changes to this Room Condition Report, simply note the changes on your copy, return it to the front desk, and our staff will investigate the reported issues further. You will receive this report back via your residence hall mailbox. You are responsible for the condition of your room after accepting this document. All changes must be received by residence hall staff by Monday, September 24, 2012 at 5 p.m.

We look forward to providing a warm welcome when you arrive at Drexel University!
