Description of the Housing Application steps:

Introduction

Read information provided by University Housing regarding the 2013-2014 academic year.

Living Style

Complete a short survey which will be available to potential roommates, or will be used if University Housing assigns you. This survey will also display information to potential roommates who search for you via MyHousing.

Preferred Roommate Selection

University Housing will utilize the Living Style Questionnaire to assign students who choose not to participate in, or are not eligible for, Online Room Self-Selection. Please note that you are indicating preferences only. All preferences are subject to availability at time of selection or assignment. Students have several options when searching for roommates in MyHousing

  • Search for a specific student using their Last Name and their Web Screen Name (which is defined by the student on the housing application).
  • Browse for roommates by selecting answers to the Living Style Questionnaire
  • Browse roommates who match the Living Style Questionnaire

Creating a Roommate Profile is optional. Students must mutually confirm each other. For example, if Bruce requests Clark, Clark must re-log back into MyHousing to confirm Bruce. The Preferred Roommate Selection page may be edited until July 1, 2013.

Housing Preferences

Use this page to indicate your housing preferences. University Housing will utilize the preferences indicated here to assign you to a space if you choose to not participate in Online Room Self-Selection or you are not eligible to do so. Please note that you are indicating preferences only. All preferences are subject to availability at time of selection or assignment.

College Learning Communities (optional)

Students in these colleges may apply for the College Learning Community operated by their College: Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design (CoMAD), the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the iSchool, and the LeBow College of Business. Click here for links to more information about the College Learning Communities.

Note: ALL students will see this page, and once on the page, all college learning communities will be shown. If you are not part of one of these colleges, or you choose not to apply for the learning community, you may skip this page. All learning communities listed here are housed in Myers Hall. It is NOT possible to have a roommate who is not part of the same learning community.

The deadline to apply for the learning community is May 15, 2013.

Pennoni Honors Learning Community (If applicable)

Students who have been selected into the Pennoni Honors College may apply to live in the Honors Learning Community in Millennium Hall. Note that only students who have been accepted into the Pennoni Honors College will be able to see this page. Further, participation in the Pennoni Honors College precludes your participation in another College Learning Community.

Students who are part of the Pennoni Honors College Learning Community cannot select a Non-Honors College Learning Community roommate.
