Things to Bring
Bedding: Extra long twin sheets, comforter, blankets, a mattress pad or “egg crate,” pillows and pillow cases
Bath: Towels and washcloths, shower caddy, bath accessories, soap, razor, shampoo, and shower shoes/flip flops
Kitchen: Pots, pans, bowls, dishes, utensils, glasses, dish towels, sponges, and dish detergent
Laundry: Iron and ironing board, drying rack, laundry bag/basket, detergent, bleach, and fabric softener (No need to bring quarters, because laundry is free!)
School: Computer, printer and supplies, back pack/bag, pens, pencils, highlighters, scissors, tape, stapler, and a calculator
Organization: Closet and desk organizers, storage crates/trunk, shoe rack and under bed storage bins
Telephone: All resident rooms, except University Crossings, have an opt-in voice service. Each resident has a private mailbox. This service is not automatically activated; to do so, contact Information Resources and Technologies
Appliances: Microwave (may not exceed 700 watts) and/or refrigerator (may not exceed 2.5 cu feet or draw more than 1.5 amps), and power strips (UL approved, with circuit breaker). Please coordinate with your roommate(s) so that there is only one appliance per two students. Towers residents are not permitted to bring microwaves or refirgerators; a MicroFridge will be in every room.
Things Not To Bring
For your safety we do not allow certain items in the residence halls. While we want this to be your home away from home, the following are not permitted in the residence halls:
Drugs
Full/empty alcohol containers
Pets
Candles
Incense
Incense burners
Weapons
Halogen lamps
Gas-powered equipment
Space heaters
Quartz heaters
Flammable liquids
2.4 GHz cordless phones
Large stereo speakers
