University Housing Redefined: Drexel 2-Year Residency Program
2-Year Residency Program for Incoming First Year (Freshmen) Students
First Year (Freshmen) students live in a Drexel Residence Hall.
Residency status is determined by information provided on an incoming first year student’s Common Admissions Application. To make changes to residency status, please follow the steps below based on the applicable situation:
Incoming First Year (Freshmen) students who live outside of the 10-mile radius but would like to commute due to financial or medical reasons, should contact the Enrollment Management Office at 215-895-2400 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss a possible exemption.
Incoming First Year (Freshmen) students who wish to commute from a family member or legal guardian who resides within a 10-mile radius of Drexel University must log into MyHousing via DrexelOne, click on "Housing OnDemand" and utilize the forms for 'Extenuating Circumstances', citing "Other" as the reason unless a Medical or Financial reasoning is applicable. The University requires all First Year Residents (including transfer students) to participate in one of the All Inclusive Dining Plans for their first three academic terms. Extenuating Circumstances for Incoming First Year (Freshmen) Students
Incoming First Year (Freshmen) students who feel they are unable to fulfill the requirements of the Drexel University 2-Year Residency Program may request a review of their specific situation, citing either a Medical or Financial reason. To do so, incoming freshman should contact the Enrollment Management Office at 215-895-2400 or email@example.com.

Drexel University Housing assesses housing charges in accordance with the Drexel University Quarterly Bill. For more information on Drexel University payment deadlines and payment options, please visit the Drexel Central website's Billing section. University-Affiliated Housing and University-Approved Property payments are made directly to the property manager/owner by the student in accordance with the terms of the lease agreement.
