Wired DragonCard Activity Readers that interface with the DragonCard System to accept Dragon Dollars payments and track activity at event(s) to Drexel University Departments and recognized student organizations are available.
The DragonCard Activity Readers use the Drexel University wired network for connectivity and access is limited to areas with coverage; for real-time use. Please note the specific location where the device will be used with the request.
The maximum checkout time for a device is one (1) week.The maximum number of devices requested is two (2) per organization. There is a limited number of devices and will be issued on a first come-first serve basis.
The Wired DragonCard Activity Readers should be returned to the DragonCard Office at 3210 Chestnut Street, Suite 124, Creese Student Center within (1) business day after an event. If the device is not returned within one (1) business day, the current full recovery cost of the device and all parts not returned will be charged against the University Fund Code provided.
Transfer of Funds
At the conclusion of an event and once all equipment has been returned to the DragonCard Office, the sales totals will be reconciled to the DragonCard System. The DragonCard Office does not guarantee funds collected through the reader in offline mode. Wired DragonCard Activity Readers returned to the DragonCard Office more than (1) business week after the event may not be processed. Proceeds from student organizations events will only be credited to valid Drexel University accounting codes. The DragonCard Office will not issue checks. All accounting codes credits will be posted at the end of the fiscal month in which the debits to cardholder accounts were processed. There is a 3% service fee charged to all Dragon Dollars transactions.
DragonCard Activity Readers can be borrowed at a fee of $25 per DragonCard Activity Reader by providing your University Account Number on the DragonCard Office Request e-mail.
