1st Annual Film Festival Awards Top 3 Winners

CoE students, faculty, and staff attended the 1st Annual Film Festival June 5, 2008 in the William F. Mitchell Auditorium. The event featured the top five films which included Engineering at Drexel, Engineering the Day, The Freshmen Engineering Song, Engineers Without Borders: The Miramar Project and Cyborg Poultry. A panel of judges determined winners and awarded Best Buy gift cards: 1st - $1,500, 2nd - $1,000, 3rd - $750. 








1st Place Winner


The Freshman Engineering Song
A satirical song about his first year at Drexel.  Topics include K’Nex, Lego Mindstorms, and the freshman design project.

2nd Place Winners


Cyborg Poultry
A spoof of the television show Robot Chicken with Drexel Engineering flavor.

EWB:  The Miramar Project
Drexel chapter of Engineers Without Borders experience in Miramar, El Salvador to provide a village with a clean, dependable water supply and distribution system.
