    President Fry's efforts to revitalize University City were noted in a January 2011 article in Philadelphia Magazine titled, "Is West Philly the Next Center City?" The Constantine Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building-- soon to be the new home of the Department of Biology-- was also mentioned in the article as one of the 17 "super-cool, high-tech, forward-thinking projects that are making West Philly the center of the action."   • UNIV101 Reflects Fry's Vision of Community Service

    At convocation on October 5th 2010, Drexel President John Fry challenged those in attendance to consider the following:

    "If Anthony Drexel were to walk today from the Main Building where the Drexel Institute was founded almost 120 years ago, through our campus, and into these neighborhoods, would he be satisfied that we are fulfilling our mission as an urban university?"

  • CoAS Honors Governor, Alumni, Faculty at CoAS 20th Anniversary

    Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell, along with Dr. John Jewett Jr., Jay Meyers and Dr. Arthur Shostak were honored by Dean Donna Murasko at the College of Arts and Sciences’ 20th Anniversary Gala on November12, 2010. The gala followed a research symposium, where twelve CoAS students presented research projects in a wide-range of subject areas.

  • Fall Meet and Greet Photos

    On October 14, 2010, the CoAS community gathered in the Paul Peck Alumni Center to celebrate the College's quarterly Meet and Greet. Students and faculty munched and mingled, and a lucky few even took home some great prizes!
