Adrienne Juarascio Recieves the 2018 Hilda and Preston Davis Foundation Junior Faculty Award
May 8, 2018
Adrienne Juarascio, PhD, assistant professor of psychology, has received the 2018 Hilda and Preston Davis Foundation Junior Faculty Award. The $200,000 award will support the two-year project "Using Continuous Glucose Monitoring to Detect Eating Disorder Symptoms in Bulimia Nervosa."
This award is given to independent faculty members with less than five years experience in their first appointment who design an "innovative, clinically relevant research project" that attempts to better explain the science of eating disorders. Juarascio's project aims to evaluate whether continuous glucose monitoring could be used to assess compliance with treatment recommendations in patients with bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder, as well as whether continuous glucose monitoring can detect symptoms of disordered eating.
