The Weight, Eating and Lifestyle Sciences (WELL) Center, in the College of Arts and Sciences, hosted it's first annual transdisciplinary research symposium, The WELL Symposium, on Friday, March 9th at Lebow College of Business. Programming included three tracks on Obesity, Eating Disorders and Eating Behavior and Physical Activity.

The symposium was designed to foster collaboration and partnership on these topics both at Drexel and across the region and to build partnerships for future research endeavors. The symposium included 45 speakers and over 100 researchers from 5 Drexel colleges and from universities across the region such as the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, LaSalle University, and the University of Delaware, as well as regionally from UNC. Finally, the session kicked off with a keynote address from Kelly Brownell, the Dean of the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a world-renowned researcher in the field of obesity and food policy.
