Chris Sims Receives NSF Grant

Chris R. Sims, PhD, was awarded a 5 year grant ($742,736) from the National Science Foundation. The research project, in collaboration with faculty at the University of Rochester, examines how visual processing and visual memory is improved by becoming an expert in a domain. The research will be applied to the geosciences, a field that relies heavily on perceptual expertise, with the goal of improving STEM training and education.
