Manuscript: Associations among Treatment-Related Neurological Risk Factors and Neuropsychological Functioning in Survivors of Childhood Brain Tumor"

Authors: McCurdy, M.D., Rane, S., Daly, B.P., & Jacobson, L.A.

Adverse neurological side effects associated with childhood brain tumors and their treatments contribute to long-term neuropsychological morbidity in survivors. The present study examined the utility of the Neurological Predictor Scale (NPS) for predicting neuropsychological outcomes in survivors of childhood brain tumor. Results indicate that the NPS is associated with several performance-based neurocognitive and executive skills, and has value as a resource for understanding treatment-related neurological risks in this vulnerable population.
