Sophomore Dmitry Malyshka's Manuscript Accepted in Vibrational Spectroscopy Journal

October 15, 2014

Dmitry Malyshka a sophomore in the department of chemistry will be the first author in a paper just accepted for publication. "Cardiolipin containing liposomes are fully ionized at physiological pH.  An FT-IR study of phosphate group ionization" will be published in an upcoming issue of Vibrational Spectroscopy.  Dmitry began the work reported in this paper as a Maryanoff Summer Scholar under the mentorship of Prof. Reinhard Schweitzer-Stenner.  The Maryanoff Summer Scholar program allows freshman to work in research during the summer following their freshman year.  This program is made possible by the generous support of our alumni Dr. Cynthia Maryanoff ’72 and Dr. Bruce Maryanoff ’69 ’72.

In addition Dmitry is a recent scholarship awardee from the Chemspec Event Scholarship Golf Outing administered through the Chemical Heritage Foundation.  We thank them for their continued support of our students.
