Physics in the Private Sector: Non-Destructive Characterization for Transportation Security Applications

As physicists, there are many applications of our skill set in the private sector as well as academia. In this talk, I will give an overview of the non-destructive imaging research (X-ray, CT) being done for transportation security. I’ll also speak on the transition from academia to the private sector, and what makes physicists desirable researchers in many STEM fields.
