Tuesday, February 21, 2017

3:30 PM-5:00 PM

Looking for an innovative way to increase capacity in your online courses? Learn how the Department of Psychology successfully ran PSY 101 at five times its typical capacity this fall. Hear how Doug Chute, PhD, designed his course for cohorts of students thereby preserving the pedagogical integrity of the course while allowing more students to enroll. Learn how TAs trained by Marlin Killen, PhD, worked with Chute to support offering the course to five cohorts of 20 students. Explore how your department can also offer expandable sections of online courses in this engaging workshop — all are welcome.

Led by Doug Chute, PhD, Louis & Bessie Stein Fellow, professor of neuropsychology and biomedical engineering, and faculty coordinator of ePsychology; and Marlin Killen, PhD, associate teaching professor and faculty coordinator of online education in psychology.
