Bio:

The current pursuit of Academics constitutes a second career. My undergraduate degree is in Radio-TV (Baylor University), leading to a career in mass media. Initially, this was on radio, fulfilling an adolescent ambition to be a disc jockey. I also found, to my gratification and dismay, that I had some talent for writing and producing radio commercials. Upon finally outgrowing radio, the field of video production beckoned, which eventually resulted in an encounter with my first anthropologist (interested in having a video done about one of his projects).

My interest in this field took off, but it was determined that an advanced degree was called for. So with the immense understanding of my wife, Virginia, we came to Philadelphia, where I attended Temple University and earned my Doctorate.
