Bio:

Florette Press joined the College of Arts and Sciences in 2012. Florette grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, next to the mall, and went to college in the middle of nowhere, Ohio, earning a BA in Spanish Literature from Kenyon College.

Before moving to Philadelphia, she earned her master's degree in higher education administration from Rowan University while teaching SAT prep courses, subbing for various school districts, serving tables, and working at a college writing center. There's no place she'd rather be than on a university campus surrounded by students, professors, and creative activity.

Florette is a dedicated adviser who celebrates student success and supports students through setbacks. She loves sharing in her students' experiences as they explore possibilities, shift their plans, customize their studies, learn new things, and grow in confidence over their college years.
