Maya, Drexel's undergraduate literary magazine, celebrated the release of its Spring 2008 issue with a Release Party at Ross Commons on Thursday, October 9th, 2008. About 25 students and faculty gathered to enjoy pizza, meet the Maya staff, listen to music, and collect their copies of the Spring 2008 issue at 7 p.m.

Staff was also promoting Maya's Fall Term Writing Contest. Undergraduates are invited to submit their writing in any of three categories: Poetry, Fiction and Nonfiction. Students can submit as many pieces in one or all categories as they would like. First place in each category wins cash prize and possible publication in Maya's 2009 issue and Rittenhouse Magazine.

The deadline to for the contest is December 1st, 2008. Winners will be announced December 13, 2008. To submit or for more information, students can e-mail entries to dsomaya@drexel.edu before December 1!
