Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services of Drexel University

The College of Nursing and Health Professions operates the Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services, a comprehensive nurse-managed health service in North Philadelphia. An interprofessional team of faculty and staff provide a comprehensive array of services to a medically and financially underserved population. Services provided are designed to serve people in the context of their community, family and culture and strive to be free of economic barriers. Through engagement with its surrounding community, 11th Street has developed a comprehensive program of clinical and behavioral services including: primary care, behavioral health consultation, family planning, chronic disease management, group prenatal care, well-child care in individual and group formats, outpatient behavioral health care management, creative arts therapies, dental services, physical therapy, health education, healthy living programs, urban farming and youth programs. 11th Street is open five days a week and two Saturdays a month. A staff of 53 oversees 7,300 patients annually over more than 30,000 visits per year.
