Who we are

Designed for research and practice, Parkway Health & Wellness of the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) serves as a site for interprofessional collaboration across research and clinical practice.  This collaboration involves the multiple disciplines within the CNHP,  in addition to collaborations with other Drexel departments including the Drexel University College of Medicine and the university’s School of Biomedical Engineering.

  • Enrich experiential education for Drexel students from multiple disciplines

Why we do what we do

Parkway Health & Wellness enhances the College of Nursing and Health Professsions’ clinical practice and research aspirations by:

  • Accommodating the growth of faculty-led research in physical therapy and rehabilitation sciences, creative arts therapies (Art, Music, and Dance/Movement), nursing, nutrition sciences, and individual,couple and family therapy;
  • Incorporating the growing number of Masters and PhD students in these disciplines into ongoing research projects;
  • Providing clinical practice opportunities for faculty with such requirements serving to build evidence-informed translational research;
  • Inviting patients and clients to participate in new and ongoing research projects;
  • Providing collaborative patient care in the areas of Primary Care, Women’s Health, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy Services, Nutrition Sciences Services and Behavioral Health Services including Individual, Couple and Family Therapy and Creative Arts Therapies;
  • Encouraging the development of unique interprofessional models of practice and care delivery;
  • Providing structured and supervised, interprofessional education opportunities for College of Nursing and Health Professions’ students.
