Janet Zimmerman, MS, RN is an assistant clinical professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She coordinates the online MSN program in clinical trials research.
Upon receiving her BSN from Villanova University, Professor Zimmerman was commissioned in the US Army Nurse Corps, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. She earned her MS in nursing from the University of Colorado and completed a post master’s certificate in training and development from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
Professor Zimmerman has more than 25 years of experience with clinical trials. As a clinical research nurse and later as a clinical research associate (CRA) she coordinated and monitored oncology clinical trials. Since 1990, Professor Zimmerman has specialized in the training and development of clinical research personnel including investigators, coordinators and monitors in the US and internationally.
Prior to joining the CNHP faculty, Professor Zimmerman was an associate director of clinical research development with the Clinical Research Group (CRG) at Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM). A native of Philadelphia, Professor Zimmerman resides in Bucks County, PA.
