Lori A. Wheeler PhD (candidate), MSN, RN is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
Lori’s clinical background is varied including medical-surgical, PCU, ICU, Cardiac Step-Down, and Community Health Nursing. Lori has over 17 years didactic and clinical teaching experience in diploma, generic BSN, and RN-BSN programs. She joined Drexel in 2012 as an adjunct clinical faculty member and as a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor in 2013.
She served as the Interim Director of the Pennsylvania Institute for Children’s Environmental Health (formerly, The Institute for the Advancement of Children’s Environmental Health). Lori collaborated with the PADEP to install additional air quality monitors in Berks County, PA for research; coordinated distribution of pamphlets and brochures to the general public, hosted conferences and symposia related to children’s environmental health, served as a guest speaker at various events and conferences, and collaborated with various private and governmental agencies in Berks County, PA to effectively address issues related to environmental justice and the protection of children.
