Carol Okupniak, DNP, RN-BC, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University. Carol's clinical experience includes maternity, high-risk antenatal, well-baby nursery, and nursing management.
Dr. Okupniak is an experienced nurse educator and also has a background in clinical simulation.
Dr. Okupniak’s area of interests include using technology to educate students in the health professions, as well as instructing students with respect to present and future technologies utilized in health care.
Professional Society:Dr. Okupniak is a member of the International Society for Simulation in Healthcare, the International Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. She is also a member of the National League of Nursing and served on the Task Force on Informatics’ Competencies. Carol is the recurring columnist of the article “Five Fast Fixes” in the International Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning’s Journal, “Clinical Simulation in Nursing.”
