Catherine Nowak, PA-C, is an assistant clinical professor in the Physician Assistant (PA) Program in the capacity of director of Clinical Education. Nowak graduated with honors from Mercy College (NY) Physician Assistant Program in 2003 and has a clinical background in Emergency Medicine. Prior to her PA education, she worked as a registered nurse, primarily in the emergency department. She began her academic career at Mercy College as clinical coordinator and later associate program director. Nowak joined the Drexel PA Program faculty in 2013, and has held positions as clinical coordinator and director of Clinical Rotations before promotion to director of Clinical Education, leading a team of faculty and staff to ensure the PA students receive the best experiential learning opportunities possible, while complying with the high standards of the PA program. She has earned the prestigious designation of Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Nowak remains clinically active in primary care medicine. She resides in a suburb of Philadelphia, close to her children and adorable grandchildren.
