Dana Murphy-Parker, MS, PMHNP-BC is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Track Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. 

Ms. Murphy-Parker is both an ANCC Board Certified Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.


Ms. Murphy-Parker’s area of expertise and research have focused in understanding addictions as a healthcare disorder and she focuses on this in her education with nursing students, both undergraduate and graduate.

Understanding addictions as a healthcare disorder.

Professional Society:

Ms. Murphy-Parker is President-Elect of The International Nurses Society on Addictions and will serve in that role from October, 2014 – October, 2016.
