Jan Meiers, PT, DPT, GCS has been a physical therapist since 1990. She is certified by the APTA as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist. Clinical experience has been in home health and acute care, with an emphasis on geriatrics. She currently maintains a clinical practice in acute care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is interested in wellness in the geriatric population. Dr. Meiers has joint appointments in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Pathways to Health Program. Teaching areas include Health Care Informatics, University Experience, Clinical Assessment Across the Lifespan, Clinical Geriatrics, Clinical Correlations, Functional Mobility and Professional Development and Pathophysiology.
