Margery A. Lockard, PT, PhD, received a BA in biology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, Certification in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and a MS and a PhD in Anatomy from Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining the Department of Health Sciences at Drexel, Dr. Lockard was part of the Physical Therapy faculty in several universities including Hahnemann University, Arcadia University and Temple University. Dr. Lockard’s current teaching focus at Drexel includes anatomy and physiology, musculoskeletal pathophysiology, exercise science and amputation and prosthetic devices. She also participates in problem-based learning clinical correlation courses for physical therapy students. She has extensive experience and conducts research in the development of clinical decision making skills in physical therapy students using simulated clinical experiences and standardized patient learning. Dr. Lockard also has research interests in the area of physical fitness and physical activity in individuals with disabilities.
