Rebecca Buckley, MHS, PA-C, BS is the Associate Director of Clinical Education, Director of the Patient Communication course and codirector of the Biopsychosocial Issues in Patient Care course. She is also the Clinical Coordinator/Academic Coordinator for the Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Coordinator Adult Medicine rotations. She has been with the Physician Assistant Program faculty since 2004. Ms Buckley graduated from Hahnemann University in 1987 and holds a Bachelor of Science from Hahnemann University. She completed her Master of Health Science from Drexel University in 2003. Ms. Buckley maintains professional Affiliations with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
Ms. Buckley has presented workshops and lectures to fellow PAs, the public, residents, house staff and educators on topics including; physician impairment, medical aspects of addiction, infection control, self-care for women, seizure disorders, dual diagnosis and psychotropic medications. She has co-authored an article titled Geriatric Depression, accepted for publication in JAAPA April, 2007, and completed a 60-hour training seminar in Domestic and Sexual Violence, Spring 2008.
Clinically, Rebecca has practiced for the last 17 years in family practice, addiction medicine, psychiatry and plastic surgery. Currently, Ms Buckley is practicing clinically at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Center for Mental Health - Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
