Dr. Altdoerffer is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
Dr. Altdoerffer received her BSN from Penn State University in 2006 and her MSN as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner from Drexel University in 2009. She completed her DNP at the University of Maryland in 2015 with a scholarly project of “Evidence-Based Health Policy: A Focus on Pennsylvania’s Nurse Practitioner Full Practice Authority”.
Dr. Altdoerffer is board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and enjoys practicing with the underserved population. She is the co-advisor for the Drexel University Student Nursing Association.

Dr. Altdoerffer has a passion for the underserved population, nursing leadership, breastfeeding, pediatric mental health, and health policy.
While completing her masters at Drexel, Dr. Altdoerffer was awarded the “Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Award, Pediatric Track.” Dr. Altdoerffer has also received the Dragon Award for high student evaluations.
Dr. Altdoerffer is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, active on the Delaware Valley Chapter Legislative Committee, on the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioner’s Legislative Committee, and a member of The American Public Health Association and Sigma Theta Tau.
