Bobbie Posmontier, PhD, CNM has had over 25 years experience working with women in healthcare as nurse midwife and advanced practice psychiatric nurse. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University (1982). She then received her Masters in Nursing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry(1986), Certification in Nurse Midwifery (1989), PhD in Nursing (2006) and completed her post-doctoral fellowship (2008) in the Center for Health Disparities Research in the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Her experience includes working for hospital clinics and running her own private home birth and hospital birth practice. Her research interest is in improving access to care for women with postpartum depression in the United States and Africa.
